Indications/Uses
Treatment of symptomatic OA.
Dosage/Direction for Use
IA inj of up to 2 mL into the affected joint once a wk for 3-6 wk. May be increased up to 6 mL.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity.
Special Precautions
Do not inj intravascularly. Inflammation/irritation of the joint. Rest for 24-48 hr after the inj & avoid strenuous activity. Childn. Pregnancy & lactation.
Adverse Reactions
Headache, GI complaints, inj site pain, skin reaction, joint pain & swelling, positive bacterial cultures of aspirated effusion from the knee.
Drug Interactions
Sterilising or sanitising agents containing quarternary ammon salts soln.
