Terbutaline sulfate
Indications/Uses
Symptomatic treatment of bronchospasm associated w/ bronchial asthma, bronchitis, & emphysema; bronchospasm during anesth. Management of premature labor.
Dosage/Direction for Use
SC Adult 0.25 mg, repeated after 15-30 min, if necessary. Max: 0.5 mg w/in a 4-hr period.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to sympathomimetic agents. Pregnancy & lactation. Childn <12 yr.
Special Precautions
DM, HTN, hyperthyroidism, history of seizures or cardiac disease. Concomitant use w/ theophylline derivatives (eg, aminophylline), MAOIs, TCAs, & β-adrenergic blocking agents (eg, propranolol).
Adverse Reactions
Increase heart rate, changes in BP, nervousness, tremor, palpitation, & dizziness.

R03CC03 - terbutaline ; Belongs to the class of adrenergics for systemic use, selective beta-2-adrenoreceptor agonists. Used in the treatment of obstructive airway diseases.
