Indications/Uses
Sensory disturbances in cases of diabetic polyneuropathy.
Administration
Should be taken on an empty stomach: Take 30 min before breakfast. Swallow whole, should not be chewed.
Contraindications
Special Precautions
Insulin autoimmune syndrome (case report). Patients w/ human leukocyte antigen genotype eg, HLA-DRB1*04.06 & HLA-DRB1*04.03 alleles. Galactose intolerance, Lapp lactase deficiency or glucose-galactose malabsorption. Pregnancy & lactation.
Drug Interactions
May cause loss of efficacy of cisplatin. May cause chelations w/ Fe prep & Mg prep milk products. May reinforce blood-sugar lowering effect of insulin & oral anti-diabetics. Alcohol.
