Per 1 mL dose Inactivated hepatitis A virus 720 ELISA u, recombinant HBsAg protein 20 mcg
Indications/Uses
For non-immune adults, adolescents & childn from 1 yr onwards at risk of both hepatitis A & B infections.
Dosage/Direction for Use
IM Primary vaccination schedule: Adult & adolescent ≥16 yr 3 doses, 1st dose administered at elected date, 2nd dose 1 mth later & 3rd dose 6 mth after the 1st dose. If insufficient time is available to complete 0, 1, 6 mth schedule, a schedule of 3 inj at 0, 7 & 21 days may be used. A 4th dose is recommended 12 mth after the 1st dose. Childn 1-15 yr 2 doses, 1st dose at elected date & 2nd dose between 6 & 12 mth after the 1st dose. Booster dose in adult: Up to 15 yr after vaccination.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity.
Special Precautions
Do not administer intravascularly. Syncope (fainting). Acute severe febrile illness (postpone vaccination). Not for post-exposure prophylaxis. Patients on haemodialysis & w/ impaired immune system. Pregnancy & lactation.
Adverse Reactions
Headache, drowsiness, GI symptoms, inj site reactions (eg, pain & redness, swelling), fatigue, malaise, loss of appetite, fever, irritability.
Drug Interactions
Immunosuppressants.
