Indications/Uses
Hospital-acquired pneumonia, community-acquired pneumonia, & multidrug-resistant TB.
Dosage/Direction for Use
Hospital-acquired pneumonia & community-acquired pneumonia 750 mg once daily for 5 days. Multidrug-resistant TB 500-750 mg once daily. Duration: Follow the multidrug-resistant TB regimen.
Administration
Should be taken on an empty stomach.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to quinolones. Pregnancy & lactation. Childn <16 yr.
Special Precautions
Renal impairment, severe cerebral disorder. Predispose to seizure, arrhythmia, serious heart disease, DM, & myasthenia gravis.
Adverse Reactions
Insomnia, dizziness, headache, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea.
Drug Interactions
Mg- & Al-containing antacids, metal cations & multivit w/ Zn.
