Diclofenac sodium.
Each ml contains Diclofenac Sodium 1 mg.
Diclofenac Sodium, a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory agent is a sodium salt of 2-[(2,6-dichlorophenyl) amino] benzene-acetic acid. The drug exhibits anti-inflammatory activity by inhibiting cyclooxygenase, thus inhibits the first step in prostaglandin synthesis and reduce the leucocyte accumulate during inflammation.
Volta Oph eye drops reduce the inflammation of the anterior ocular segments especially the cornea due to mechanical (traumatic), or postoperative.
Chronic conjunctivitis, keratoconjunctivitis; painful post-traumatic conditions of the cornea and conjunctiva; post operative ocular inflammation e.g. cataract extraction.
Dosage/Direction for Use
Following cataract surgery: Instill 1 drop to the affected eye 4 times/day beginning 24 hours after cataract surgery and continuing throughout the first 2 weeks of the post-operative period.
Corneal refractive surgery: Instill 1 or 2 drops within 1 hour prior to surgery. Apply 1 to 2 drops within 15 minutes after surgery to affected eye(s) and continue 4 times/day for ≤3 days.
Hypersensitivity to diclofenac eye drops.
Should not be used in young children, in pregnancy or nursing women.
When applying this eye drops, do not use soft contact lense.
Do not let the dropping nozzle (tip) contact with anything e.g. fingers, eyeball, eyelash, eyelids ect., as the germs may contaminated the content. Always replace the cap immediately after use.
Do not use longer than 1 month after first opening.
