Special care is indicated in case of allergic diathesis, and epileptic condition and grand mal convulsion (Cerebrolysin may cause an increase in the frequency of seizures). There is no indication that Cerebrolysin treatment disturbs renal function, however, due to the nature of this substance, its use should be avoided in case of extreme renal dysfunction.
Use in pregnancy & lactation: Animal studies failed to produce any indication of reproductive toxicity. However, no data is available for humans. Therefore, during pregnancy and lactation, Cerebrolysin should only be used after careful risk/benefit consideration.
