Each tablet 500/5 contains: metformin hydrochloride 500 mg, glibenclamide 5 mg.
Each tablet 500/2.5 contains: metformin hydrochloride 500 mg, glibenclamide 2.5 mg.
Management of type II diabetes mellitus in combination with dietary management and exercise.
Use this medicine as directed by the doctor.
Initial dose: 1 - 2 tablets daily, dosage increases of 1 tablet every 1 - 2 weeks, if necessary, to maximum of 5 tablets daily, divided into 2 daily doses.
Elderly: Maximum dosage should not be used.
Renal impairment/renal diseases: Do not use.
ADMINISTRATION: Take 30 min before meals.
Hypersensitivity to any of the compositions. Type 1 diabetes mellitus, metabolic acidosis, diabetic pre-coma. Renal failure, dehydration, fever, severe infection. Hepatic failure, acute alcohol intoxication. Congestive heart failure, cardiovascular collapse, acute myocardial infarction. Iodinated X-ray contrast media. Combination with miconazole. Pregnant and breast feeding women.
Discontinue drug in the presence of vomiting, abdominal pain with cramps, discomfort. Patients with malnutrition, cerebrovascular sclerosis and elderly. Allergy to sulfonamides and derivatives, lactic acidosis. Discontinue drug 2 - 3 days before, during and after surgery. Renal or hepatic impairment. Driving and using machines.

hypoglycaemia, myelodysplastic syndromes, aplastic anemia, hemolytic anemia, myelosuppression, thrombocytopenia, agranulocytosis. Lactic acidosis.
Diuretic, corticosteroids, phenothiazine, thyroid preparations, oestrogens, oral contraceptives, phenytoin, isoniazid, nicotinic acid, calcium blockers, like-sympathomimetic agents, furosemide, amiloride, digoxin, morphine, procainamide, quinidine, ranitidine, triamterene, trimethoprim, vancomycin, sulfonamide, salicylate, phenylbutazone, NSAIDs, fluoroquinolones, coumarin derivatives, beta-blockers, ACE inhibitors, perhexiline, chloramphenicol, clofibrate, fenofibrate, sulfinpyrazone, probenecid, pentoxifylline, cyclophosphamide, azapropazone, tetracycline, fluconazole, miconazole, ciprofloxacin, enoxacin, MAO inhibitors and alcohol, thiazide, furosemide, ethacrynic acid, contraceptives containing estrogen/gestagen, phenothiazine derivatives, nicotinic acid (high dosage), sympathomimetic drugs, thyroid hormones and corticosteroids, tuberculosis medicine, salbutamol, or terbutaline.
