Differential Diagnosis
Other conditions that should be ruled out in the diagnosis of neuropathic pain include:
- Gout or pseudogout
- Multiple sclerosis
- Nociceptive pain (eg inflammatory, ischemic, infectious or compressive injury)
- Parkinson disease
- Rheumatoid arthritis
