การวินิจฉัยแยกโรค
โรคที่ควรวินิจฉัยแยกจากกลุ่มอาการตาแห้ง
ได้แก่
- เยื่อบุตาอักเสบจากภูมิแพ้ ไวรัส หรือแบคทีเรีย
- Anterior blepharitis
- Demodex blepharitis
- Cicatricial conjunctivitis เช่น Stevens-Johnson syndrome, mucous membrane pemphigold
- Bullous keratopathy
- กระจกตาและเยื่อบุตาอักเสบจากการใส่คอนแท็กต์เลนส์
- กระจกตาอักเสบแบบ interstitial keratitis, filamentary keratitis, contact lens-related keratitis หรือ neurotrophic keratitis
