Dosage/Direction for Use
Administration
May be taken with or without food.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity. Concomitant use w/ cisapride or certain antihistamines (eg, terfenadine or astemizole). Women. Childn.
Special Precautions
Heart or blood vessel conditions including arrhythmia. Diabetes. Concomitant use w/ LHRH analogue (eg, goserelin, buserelin, leuprorelin, triptorelin). Use contraception during treatment & for 130 days after stopping treatment. Lactose intolerance.
Adverse Reactions
Abdominal pain, blood in the urine, dizziness, constipation, nausea, swelling & tenderness of the breasts, hot flushes, feeling weak, swelling, anaemia. Jaundice, loss of appetite, reduced sex drive, depression, feeling sleepy, indigestion, flatulence, hair loss, hair regrowth or growth of extra hair, dry skin, itching, skin rash, impotence, wt gain, chest pain, reduced heart function, heart attack.
Drug Interactions
Contraindicated w/ cisapride, certain antihistamines (terfenadine or astemizole). Might interfere w/ medicines to treat heart rhythm problems (eg, quinidine, procainamide, amiodarone & sotalol). Increased risk of heart rhythm problems w/ methadone, moxifloxacin, antipsychotics. Oral anticoagulants, ciclosporin, Ca channel blockers, cimetidine, ketoconazole.

L02BB03 - bicalutamide ; Belongs to the class of anti-androgens. Used in treatment of neoplastic diseases.
