Indications/Uses
Dosage/Direction for Use
One 200 mg vag cap inserted deeply into the vagina at bedtime for 3 consecutive days.
Contraindications
Special Precautions
Discontinue in case of local sensitisation or an allergic reaction. Consult physician if the symptoms have not been relieved w/in 1 wk; in case of recurrent symptoms (>2 infections in the last 6 mth); previous history of STD or exposure to partner w/ STD; age <16 or >60 yr; known hypersensitivity to imidazoles or other vag antifungal products; any abnormal or irregular vag bleeding; any blood staining of a vag discharge; any vulval or vag sore, ulcer or blister; any associated lower abdominal pain or dysuria; any adverse effects eg, erythema, pruritus or rash associated w/ treatment. Should not be used in conjunction w/ barrier contraceptives, spermicides, intravaginal douches or other vag products. Fat excipients & oils contained in the vag cap could damage contraceptives made of latex. Contains parahydroxybenzoates which may cause allergic reactions. Pregnancy & lactation.
Adverse Reactions
Very rarely, vulvovaginal burning sensation; erythema, pruritus, rash.
Drug Interactions
May inactivate local contraceptive spermicide.
