Indications and Dosage
Adjunct to Type 2 diabetes mellitus, Hyperlipidaemias
Adult: 150 mg tid.
Should be taken with food.
Chronic pancreatitis.
Special Precautions
Pregnancy, lactation.
Adverse Reactions
Loose stools; nausea; epigastric discomfort; asthenia; drowsiness; dizziness.
Drug Interactions
Increased glucose-lowering effect when used with other antidiabetic agents.
Description: Benfluorex, a lipid-regulating drug, decreases the intestinal absorption of triglycerides, the lipid synthesis and facilitates cellular penetration and utilisation of glucose.
