Terbutaline sulfate
Indications/Uses
Bronchial asthma, chronic bronchitis, asthmatic bronchitis, bronchiectasis & emphysema.
Dosage/Direction for Use
Adult Initially 2.5 mg tds-qds. Max: 5 mg tds. Childn 12-15 yr 2.5 mg tds.
Administration
May be taken with or without food.
Contraindications
Thyrotoxicosis.
Special Precautions
HTN, hyperthyroidism, ischaemic heart disease, diabetes. Pregnancy. Childn <12 yr.
Adverse Reactions
Tremor, nervousness, tachycardia, palpitations, dizziness, headache, drowsiness, vomiting, nausea, sweating, muscle cramps.
Drug Interactions
β-blocker, other sympathomimetic bronchodilators, epinephrine.

R03CC03 - terbutaline ; Belongs to the class of adrenergics for systemic use, selective beta-2-adrenoreceptor agonists. Used in the treatment of obstructive airway diseases.
