Indications/Uses
Acne vulgaris which comedones, papules & pustules predominate.
Dosage/Direction for Use
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity. Pregnancy or women planning pregnancy.
Special Precautions
Discontinue use if sensitivity or chemical irritation occurs. Not to be used in patients w/ sunburn. Severe local erythema & peeling at application site. Occupation requiring considerable sun exposure; patients w/ inherent sun sensitivity; eczematous skin. Weather extremes eg, wind or cold. Avoid or minimize exposure to sunlight including sunlamps; contact w/ eyes, mouth, nose angles, mucous membranes. Not recommended during 1st trimester of pregnancy. Lactation. Childn.
Adverse Reactions
Excessively red, edematous, blistered or crusted skin. Temporary hyper- or hypopigmentation. Heightened susceptibility to sunlight.
Drug Interactions
Topical medication, medicated or abrasive soaps & cleansers, soaps & cosmetics w/ strong drying effect, products w/ high conc of alcohol, astringents, spices or lime. Sulfur-, resorcinol- or salicylic acid-containing prep.
