Indications/Uses
Treatment & prophylaxis of acute gouty attacks.
Dosage/Direction for Use
Treatment 1 tab 1-2 hrly up to a total dose of 6 mg. Do not repeat w/in 3 days. Prophylaxis 1 tab once-tid.
Administration
Should be taken with food.
Contraindications
Serious GI, renal, hepatic or cardiac disorders. Blood dyscrasias.
Adverse Reactions
Nausea, vomiting & abdominal pain. Excessive dosing may cause profuse diarrhea, GI hemorrhage, rashes, renal or hepatic damage. Rarely, peripheral neuritis, myopathy, alopecia, blood disorder (prolonged use).

M04AC01 - colchicine ; Belongs to the class of preparations with no effect on uric acid metabolism. Used in the treatment of gout.
