Per 250 mg tab Levodopa 200 mg, benserazide 50 mg
Indications/Uses
Parkinson's disease, symptoms of parkinsonism.
Dosage/Direction for Use
125-250 mg tid, titrated to individual needs.
Administration
Should be taken on an empty stomach: Best taken at least 30 min before or 1 hr after meals. May be taken w/ meals to reduce GI discomfort.
Contraindications
Severe renal, hepatic & cardiac disorders.
Special Precautions
Glaucoma. History of MI, coronary insufficiency.
Adverse Reactions
Abnormal movement disorders. Hallucination.
Drug Interactions
Potentiates effects of sympathomimetics. Neuroleptics.

N04BA02 - levodopa and decarboxylase inhibitor ; Belongs to the class of dopa and dopa derivative dopaminergic agents. Used in the management of Parkinson's disease.
