Estradiol 1 mg, norethisterone acetate 0.5 mg
Indications/Uses
Relief of unpleasant symptoms eg, hot flushes, night sweats & vag dryness. Prevention of osteoporosis in postmenopausal women.
Dosage/Direction for Use
Administration
May be taken with or without food.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity. Known, past or suspected breast cancer, womb lining cancer, vaginal bleeding, endometrial hyperplasia, blood clots in vein, legs or lungs, blood clotting disorder; known or past heart attack, stroke or angina; hepatic problems; porphyria.
Special Precautions
Fibroids, endometriosis, endometrial hyperplasia, history of blood clots, breast cancer history, HTN, liver adenoma, cardiac or renal problems, diabetes or gallstones, epilepsy or asthma, migraines or severe headaches, SLE, hypertriglyceridaemia, otosclerosis, lactose intolerance. Pregnancy.
Adverse Reactions
Breast pain or tenderness, vag bleeding; headache, wt gain, vaginal inflammation, migraine, vag infection, depression, enlargement or swelling of breast, back pain, uterine fibroid, swelling of arms & legs.
Drug Interactions
Phenobarb, phenytoin, carbamazepine, rifampicin, rifabutin, nevirapine, efavirenz, ritonavir, nelfinavir, St. John's wort, ketoconazole, cyclosporine.
