2 dark yellow tab each containing estradiol valerate 3 mg, 5 medium red tab each containing estradiol valerate 2 mg, dienogest 2 mg, 17 light yellow tab each containing estradiol valerate 2 mg, dienogest 3 mg, 2 dark red tab each containing estradiol valerate 1 mg, 2 white inactive tab
Prevention of pregnancy. Treatment of heavy menstrual bleeding in women w/o organic pathology who desire oral contraception.
Dosage/Direction for Use
May be taken with or without food.
Hypersensitivity. Thrombosis, pulmonary embolism, heart attack or stroke, angina pectoris, severe or multiple risk factors for blood clots, migraine, DM w/ damaged blood vessels, liver impairment, cancer or suspected cancer of the breast or genital organs, liver tumor, unexplained vag bleeding. Pregnancy.
Special Precautions
Smoking; diabetes; jaundice; depression; overwt; HTN; heart valve or heart rhythm disorders; superficial phlebitis; varicose veins; history of leg thrombosis, pulmonary embolism, stroke; migraine; epilepsy; history of hypercholesterolaemia or hypertriglyceridaemia; history of breast cancer; liver or gallbladder disease; Crohn's disease or ulcerative colitis; SLE; hemolytic uremic syndrome; sickle cell disease; hearing impairment, porphyria, herpes gestationis, Sydenham's chorea. Pregnancy patches, chloasma; avoid direct exposure to sunlight or UV light. Hereditary angioedema. Cardiac or renal insufficiency. Discontinue when signs of blood clot or cerebral stroke occur. Lactation. Adolescent <18 yr.
Adverse Reactions
Headache, abdominal pain, acne. No &/or painful menstrual periods, breast discomfort, irregular bleeding. Wt gain.
Drug Interactions
Unexpected bleeding or decreased effect w/ primidone, phenytoin, barbiturates, carbamazepine, oxcarbamazepine, topiramate, felbamate; rifampicin; ritonavir, nevirapine; penicillins, tetracyclines, griseofulvin; St. John's wort. Increased levels w/ ketoconazole; cimetidine; verapamil, diltiazem; erythromycin; antidepressants; grapefruit juice. May influence effect of lamotrigine.
