Tar (pine tar), coal tar solution, salicylic acid.
Sebitar contains tar (pine tar) 1% w/w, coal tar 1% w/w, salicylic acid 2% w/w and benzyl alcohol 1% w/w. The base is mild and contains gentle surfactants to help prevent the hair and scalp from becoming excessively dry. Sebitar is free from soap, parabens and lanolin.
Cleansing, antipruritic (relieves itching), reduces inflammation, reduces scaling and flaking.
Scalp cleansing treatment for itching and inflamed scalp which relieves itching and reduces inflammation, scaling and flaking. For relief of the symptoms of scaling and flaking scalp and eczema of the scalp.
Use twice weekly up to once daily, if required. Wet hair, apply to affected area and massage well. Apply more to remainder of the scalp and hair, work into a lather and leave for 5 minutes. Rinse thoroughly with water. Use SebiRinse as a conditioner or to remove tar odour.
Sensitivity to any of the ingredients in Sebitar. Not recommended for use in pregnant or breastfeeding.
The healthcare professional will advise if Sebitar is suitable for the patient's condition. For external use only. Avoid eyes. If Sebitar enters eyes, rinse with clean water. Do not use on children under 2 years of age unless supervised by a doctor. If irritation occurs, discontinue use.
