Per g Neomycin 1,338.22 IU, bacitracin 103.8 IU
Locally preventative in post-op & other wounds, in skin abrasion, skin transplantations, 1st & 2nd degree burns of restricted extent, dehiscences of furuncules & abcesses. For local treatment of trophic ulcers, stasis dermatitis, bed sore pressure ulcers, chronic infected dermatosis eg, eczema, dermatomycosis.
Dosage/Direction for Use
Spray onto the infected area from a distance of 20-25 cm. Should not be applied more than 3x per day.
Hypersensitivity. History of toxic reaction.
Special Precautions
Prolonged use may result in overgrowth by non-susceptible organisms or fungi. In cases of extensive wounds, ulcers or burns or cleansings there is a greater possibility of systemic absorption thus causing nephrotoxicity or ototoxicity.
Adverse Reactions
Allergic reactions w/ local reddening, edema, pruritus & non-healing of the wound.
Drug Interactions
May intensify the toxicity of aminoglycosides when administered in cases that favor systemic absorption.
