Apply to affected areas of the scalp (1-4 g) once daily. Recommended treatment period: 4 wk. After this period, repeated treatment can be initiated under medical supervision. Max daily dose: 15 g. Max wkly dose: 100 g. Max treated area: 30% of body surface.

Contraindications
Hypersensitivity. Patients w/ known disorders of Ca metabolism. Viral (eg, herpes or varicella) lesions of the skin, fungal or bacterial skin infections, parasitic infections, skin manifestations in relation to TB or syphilis, perioral dermatitis, atrophic skin, striae atrophicae, fragility of skin veins, ichthyosis, acne vulgaris, acne rosacea, rosacea, ulcers & wounds. Guttate, erythrodermic, exfoliative & pustular psoriasis. Patients w/ severe renal insufficiency or severe hepatic disorders.
Avoid treatment w/ other steroids on the scalp. Adrenocortical suppression or impact on the metabolic control of DM may occur. Avoid application under occlusive dressings. Discontinue if hypercalcaemia occur. Avoid treatment of >30% of the body surface. Avoid application on large areas of damaged skin, on mucous membranes, in skin folds. Skin of the face & genitals should only be treated w/ weaker corticosteroids. Treat w/ antimicrobiological therapy when lesions become secondarily infected; discontinue if infection worsens. Risk of generalised pustular psoriasis or of rebound effects when discontinuing treatment. Discontinue in local & systemic undesirable effects in long-term use. Avoid excessive exposure to either natural or artificial sunlight. Contains butylated hydroxytoluene. Pregnancy & lactation. Childn <18 yr.
