Tab 50 mg 3-4 times daily or 100 mg 2-3 times daily. IM inj 50-100 mg 4 hrly. Max: 200 mg daily. Supp 1 supp inserted in rectum. If used w/o oral treatment, usual dose: 1 supp 2 times daily. Gel Apply 2-3 times daily for up to 7 days.
Should be taken with food: Take immediately after meals. Swallow whole, do not chew/crush.
Active peptic ulcer, active inflammatory disease of the GIT, severe bronchospasm. History of asthma or allergy. Supp: Recent proctitis, hemorrhoid. Gel: History/active bronchial asthma or allergic disease. Infected skin lesions, eczema or broken skin, exudative dermatoses & sores. Aspirin- or other NSAID-induced asthma, rhinitis or urticaria.
Renal function impairment, HTN, hepatic dysfunction, gastric hyperactivity disorders. Pregnancy & lactation. Childn <12 yr. Gel: Do not apply to the eyes or mucous membranes. History of or active GI bleeding, peptic ulcer, inflammatory disease of the GI tract. Discontinue treatment if skin rash occurs. Avoid exposure to sunlight or UV light.
