Amlodipine
Indications/Uses
HTN. Myocardial ischaemia due to stable angina &/or Prinzmetal's or variant angina.
Dosage/Direction for Use
HTN & angina Usual dose: 5 mg once daily. May be increased to a max of 10 mg daily. Childn 6-17 yr 2.5-5 mg once daily.
Administration
May be taken with or without food.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to dihydropyridine.
Special Precautions
Kidney & liver failure. Pregnancy & lactation. Childn. Elderly.
Adverse Reactions
Headache, edema, fatigue, somnolence, nausea, abdominal pain, flushing, palpitation, dizziness.
