Indications/Uses
Dosage/Direction for Use
Adult Tab 2 tab 3-4 times daily up to 8 wk (short-term treatment). Continue treatment for 4-8 wk unless healing has been demonstrated. Susp 10 mL 4 times daily until healing has been demostrated.
Administration
Should be taken on an empty stomach: Take 1 hr before meals & at bedtime.
Contraindications
Not to be used in pregnant women, nursing mothers. Ped.
Special Precautions
Concomitant use w/ antacids. Renal function disorder. Pregnancy & lactation. Childn.
Adverse Reactions
Diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, gastric discomfort, flatulence, pruritus, skin rash, sleepiness, vertigo, back pain, headache.
Drug Interactions
May reduce absorption or bioavailabiliy of cimetidine, ciprofloxacin, digoxin, ketoconazole, norfloxacin, phenytoin, ranitidine, tetracycline & theophylline; should be given w/in 2 hr prior sucralfate administration.
