Tramadol HCl
Indications/Uses
Acute & severe chronic pain. Post-op pain & pain due to diagnostic exam.
Dosage/Direction for Use
Adult & childn >14 yr 1 cap as a single dose then followed by an additional dose of 1 cap after 30-60 min. Max: 400 mg/day.
Administration
May be taken with or without food.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to opioid. Pregnancy & lactation.
Special Precautions
Headache, increased intracranial pressure, severe renal & liver impairment or bronchial hypersecretion; drug dependence. May impair ability to drive or operate machinery. Elderly & debilitated patients.
Adverse Reactions
Dizziness, vomiting, nausea, dry mouth, fatigue, dyspepsia, constipation, sedation, pruritus, sweating, skin redness, headache.
Drug Interactions
CNS depressants, tranquilizers.

Nonsteroidal Anti-Inflammatory Drugs (NSAIDs)
