Amlodipine besylate
Indications/Uses
HTN, myocardial ischemia.
Dosage/Direction for Use
HTN 5 mg once daily. Max: 10 mg daily. Chronic stable or vasospastic angina 5-10 mg daily.
Administration
May be taken with or without food.
Contraindications
Sensitivity to dihydropyridine.
Special Precautions
Impaired liver function. Childn.
Adverse Reactions
Headache, edema, fatigue, somnolence, nausea, abdominal pain, flushing, palpitation, dizziness; pruritus, skin rash, dyspnea, asthenia, muscle cramp, GI disturbances, gingival hyperplasia, erythema multiforme. Rarely, MI, arrhythmia, chest pain.
