Per 1 mL Inactivated HAV 720 ELISA U adsorbed, recombinant HBsAg 20 mcg adsorbed
Non-immune adult & childn ≥1 yr at risk of both hepatitis A & B infection.
Dosage/Direction for Use
IM Adult & adolescent ≥16 yr 3 primary doses at 0, 1, 6 mth (standard schedule) or 0, 7, 21 days followed by 4th dose at 12 mth (rapid schedule). Childn 1-15 yr 2 primary doses at 0, 6-12 mth. Booster dose General guideline can be drawn from experience w/ monovalent vaccines.
Hypersensitivity to the vaccine, neomycin or after previous inj.
Special Precautions
Not to be inj intravascularly. Not recommended for post-exposure prophylaxis (eg, needle-stick injury). Postpone vaccination in subjects w/ acute severe febrile illness. Syncope. Patients on haemodialysis or w/ impaired immune system. Pregnancy & lactation.
Adverse Reactions
Headache; inj site pain & redness, fatigue. GI symptoms eg, diarrhoea, nausea, vomiting; inj site swelling. Adult & childn ≥16 yr: Inj site reaction, malaise. Childn 1-15 yr: Loss of appetite; irritability. Drowsiness; fever.
Drug Interactions
Adequate response may not be achieved w/ immunosuppressants.
