Betamethasone valerate
Indications/Uses
Skin diseases in which inflammation is prominent feature eg, eczema, seborrheic dermatitis & some forms of psoriasis.
Dosage/Direction for Use
Apply once daily to bid. Cover the affected area w/ thin film & gently massage well into the skin, until completely absorbed. Max: 45 g/week.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to betamethasone valerate or other corticosteroids.
Special Precautions
Do not use excessively. Not to be used in pregnancy. Lactation.
Adverse Reactions
Local side effects eg, burning, itching, irritation, dryness, folliculitis, hypertrichosis, acneiform eruptions, hypopigmentation.
