Indications/Uses
For short- & long-term treatment of atopic dermatitis.
Dosage/Direction for Use
Apply a thin layer to affected areas bid. 0.1% oint Adult only. 0.03% oint Adult & childn 2-15 yr.
Contraindications
Special Precautions
Skin infections: Tacrolimus may be associated w/ increased risk of HSV infections. Lymphadenopathy. Genetic epidermal barrier defects eg, Netherton's syndrome & generalized erythroderma. Avoid contact w/ eyes & mucous membranes; occlusive dressings. Minimize or avoid exposure to sun or UV light. Pregnancy & lactation. Childn ≤2 yr.
Adverse Reactions
Burning sensation, pruritus, erythema, tingling, folliculitis, acne, HSV infections. Hyperaesthesia. Alcohol intolerance.
