Contents
Paracetamol 500 mg, hyoscine-N-butylbromide 10 mg
Indications/Uses
Relief from pain of stronger abdominal cramps including menstrual cramps & urinary tract spasm.
Dosage/Direction for Use
1-2 tab tid. Max: 6 tab. Childn ≥10 yr May be used if required.
Administration
May be taken with or without food: Swallow tab whole w/ sufficient amount of water. Do not chew.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to hyoscine-N-butylbromide, paracetamol. Patients w/ myasthenia gravis, megacolon or severe hepatocellular insufficiency.
Special Precautions
G6PD, hepatic dysfunction, impaired renal function, Gilbert's syndrome & hepatocellular insufficiency. Should not be taken over prolonged periods or in higher doses. Pregnancy & lactation. Childn.
Adverse Reactions
Pancytopenia, agranulocytosis, skin reactions, dyshidrosis, tachycardia, bronchospasm, dry mouth, increased transaminases, urinary retention.
Drug Interactions
Glutethimide, phenobarb, phenytoin, carbamazepine, rifampicin, alcohol abuse, long-term use of paracetamol, concomitant use of paracetamol & zidovudine, probenecid, cholestyramine, tri- & tetracyclic antidepressants, antihistamines, antipsychotics, quinidine, amantadine, tiotropium, ipratropium, atropine-like compd, metoclopramide, β-adrenergics.
