Felodipine
Indications/Uses
HTN, angina pectoris.
Dosage/Direction for Use
Adult HTN Initially 5 mg once daily. Maintenance: 5 or 10 mg once daily. Max: 20 mg. Angina pectoris 10 mg once daily.
Administration
May be taken with or without food: Take w/o food or w/ a light meal. Swallow whole, do not chew/crush.
Contraindications
Pregnancy.
Special Precautions
May precipitate hypotension in sensitive individuals; CHF. Childn & elderly. Lactation.
Adverse Reactions
Flushing, headache, palpitation, dizziness, fatigue.
Drug Interactions
Plasma conc increased by cimetidine, erythromycin. Plasma conc decreased by phenytoin, carbamazepine, barbiturates.
