Indications/Uses
Supply of amino acid in acute & chronic renal failure.
Dosage/Direction for Use
Acute renal failure 500-600 mL/day by central venous infusion. Chronic renal failure 200 mL/day by peripheral vein infusion.
Contraindications
Hepatic coma; inherited abnormal amino acid metabolism.
Special Precautions
Cardiac dysfunction; hepatic disorder or GI bleeding; serious electrolyte imbalance.
Adverse Reactions
Hypersensitivity, GI upsets, chest discomfort, palpitations, occasional chills, hot flushes, fever, headache, vascular pain.
