Indications/Uses
Strongyloidiasis (Strongyloides stercoralis).
Dosage/Direction for Use
Adult 200 mcg/kg as a single dose, body wt 66-79 kg 2 ½ tab, 51-65 kg 2 tab, 36-50 kg 1½ tab, 25-35 kg 1 tab, 15-24 kg ½ tab.
Administration
Should be taken on an empty stomach.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity.
Special Precautions
Pregnancy & lactation.
Adverse Reactions
Dyspnea, urinary &/or fecal incontinence, confusion, stupor, lethargy, seizures, coma, asthenia/fatigue, abdominal pain, diarrhea, constipation, nausea, vomiting, vertigo, somnolence, dizziness, tremor, rash, pruritus, urticaria, tachycardia, postural hypotension.
Drug Interactions
Diazepam. Amiodarone, carvedilol, clarithromycin, cyclosporine, erythromycin, itraconazole, ketoconazole, quinidine, ritonavir, tamoxifen, verapamil, amprenavir, clotrimazole, phenothiazine, rifampicin, St. John's wort, alcohol.
