Topical gel 0.1%/Cream: Cutaneous treatment of acne vulgaris where comedones, papules & pustules predominate. Topical gel 0.3%: Mild to moderate acne where comedones, papules & pustules predominate; photodamage skin including wrinkles & hyperpigmentation.
Avoid contact w/ eyes, lips, mouth, angles of nose, mucous membranes & open wounds. Do not apply to broken skin, eczematous skin or severe acne. Avoid excessive exposure to sunlight including sunlamps. Pregnancy & lactation. Topical gel 0.3%: Childn <12 yr. Elderly ≥65 yr.
May produce additive irritant effects w/ peeling agents, astringents or irritant products; abrasive cleansers, strong drying agents. Topical gel 0.1%/Cream: Not to be used w/ other retinoids or drugs w/ a similar mode of action. Topical gel 0.3%: Concomitant use w/ prep containing sulfur, resorcinol or salicylic acid.
