Esomeprazole Mg trihydrate
Indications/Uses
PUD, GERD, Zollinger-Ellison syndrome; H. pylori eradication in combination w/ antibiotics.
Dosage/Direction for Use
PUD 20-40 mg once daily. GERD 20-40 mg once daily. Zollinger-Ellison syndrome Initially 40 mg bid, then adjust as needed. H. pylori eradication in combination w/ antibiotics 40 mg once daily.
Administration
Should be taken on an empty stomach: Take at least 1 hr before meals.
Contraindications
Special Precautions
Possibility of malignancy in gastric ulcers. Hepatic impairment.
Adverse Reactions
Headache, diarrhea, skin rashes. Pruritus, dizziness, fatigue, constipation, nausea, vomiting, flatulence, abdominal pain, athralgia, myalgia, urticaria, dry mouth, photosensitivity, bullous eruption, erythema multiforme, angioedema & anaphylaxis.
